This Privacy Policy describes how Mimbo (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Mimbo mobile application (the “App”). By using Mimbo, you agree to the terms outlined in this Policy.

Chats are not end-to-end encrypted. Messages are stored on Firebase Firestore and may be accessed by authorized staff only when a user reports another user.
Users cannot delete individual messages or entire conversations from within the chat feature once sent. They can hide chats from their inbox and report other users. If a user deletes their account, chats and chat media associated with that account are also deleted, subject to limited retention where necessary for safety, abuse prevention, rule enforcement, or legal compliance.
Location data is used for the following optional features:
If you choose to add a location to a Rescue Center case, that location may be stored and displayed with the case. Location is not used for chats, tracking, analytics, or profiling.

Users may report any inappropriate content across the App, including Rescue Center posts and comments, Pawstagram posts and comments, profiles, and chat messages. Reports are reviewed manually by our moderation team.
We may remove or restrict content that violates our rules, including harmful, abusive, misleading, fake, or unsafe posts related to pets, rescues, or user interactions.
Chats are reviewed only when a user reports another user. We also use automated pre-post filtering to block clearly prohibited content before it is submitted.

Mimbo is not intended for children under 13. If we learn we collected data from a child under 13, we will delete it.
Mimbo uses:
Donation links and external resources open inside an in-app browser. We are not responsible for their privacy practices.
